I’ll soon be back with my regular recipe posts, but I just wanted to share some news with you guys, which you might’ve already heard on my Instagram and elsewhere. The Bake for Syria book is now out on amazon in the US and UK! Proceeds from book sales will be donated toward UNICEF’s children of Syria appeal, so simply buying the book is a wonderful way to support this cause. And once you have the book, you can continue to help those affected by this crisis by hosting a bake sale for Syria, and donating the proceeds to UNICEF.
There are so many delicious recipes in this cookbook, and I’m so proud to be part of this initiative. I contributed a recipe for this kadeh star, inspired by my family’s recipe for kadeh, which my aunt Masy learned to make when she and my grandmother and their family lived in an Assyrian village in north-eastern Syria.
